Originally from Timperley, I met my husband whilst working at a Marine Station in Ireland in 2012. We moved to Cumbria, and then Liverpool before we settled in Marston in January 2021.
When we first moved to the area Covid restrictions were still quite strong and so we spent the first few months just exploring our local nature trials. Pickmere lake quickly became a firm favourite of our children (aged 5 & 7) and especially with our labrador/golden retriever cross. We felt so lucky to have this beauty spot right on our doorstep.
I have had a variety of roles including Ecologist for 13 years, conducting protected species surveys and writing ecological reports. I have been a receptionist for 6 years and I have been on the Halton Infant Feeding Team since 2022, supporting families. I am excited to be able to use my varied knowledge and skills to support the community of Pickmere and the Council.
