AGENDA ITEM 9.11 REQUEST FOR MEMORIAL BENCH NEAR THE LAKE
1. REPORT
1.1 A new request has been received for the location of a memorial bench near the lake. This would be in memory of a person who lived in Wincham for over 30 years and loved his visits to the lake.
1.2 Council has considered similar requests in recent years. In July 2019 Council decided that there was currently no suitable location for the provision of an additional bench on the IROS. In November 2019 members reviewed the potential for locating any further benches on Council-owned land and concluded that two possible new locations might be on Clover Drive play area and on a site at the top of Clover Drive.
1.3 The applicant in this case has already been forewarned of Council’s view as to further benches near the lake.
2. RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That members consider the request.
