AGENDA ITEM 8.2 ADOPTION OF CEC LOCAL PLAN (SADPD)
1. REPORT
1.1 Members will recall that the strategic part of the Local Plan for Cheshire East was adopted some
time ago, but that the more detailed policies (the so-called Site Allocations and Development
Policies Document) was going through its inquiry process. That process has taken several years,
but this part of the Local Plan was formally adopted by CEC in December 2022.
1.2 This means that CEC now has a fully adopted local plan which covers the period to 2030.
1.3 As is always the case, as soon as such a plan is adopted, work commences on its review.
However, for matters of dealing with planning applications etc, the adopted local plan now
carries full weight.
2. RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That the report be noted.
