AGENDA ITEM 9.7 CONTINUED HOLDING OF VILLAGE HALL COFFEE MORNINGS
1. REPORT
1.1 In the light of the success of these events, the organisers have requested that they be allowed to continue until further notice, again without the requirement to pay a hire fee for the hall.
1.2 In the light of the request for continued subsidy of the Village Hall facilities, the organiser has been asked to confirm some detail about the organisation and general funding of the events. The organiser’s response is that tea, coffee and biscuits are purchased from “our own” funds which arise from voluntary contributions from our attendees. Other items are purchased “by ourselves”. No charges are made to attendees.
2. RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That Council consider the request.
2.2 If Council consents to the use, the organisers be requested to provide a risk assessment relating to the activity.
