Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Pickmere Parish Council is very sad to hear of the passing of Her Royal Highness Elizabeth II. It marks the end of an unprecedented era of service and loyalty to the Country and the Commonwealth.

A condolence book will be opened at Knutsford Town Council Offices.

Speaking on the announcement from the Palace, the Chair of Pickmere Parish Council said:

“I was devastated to hear the news that Her Majesty has died. On behalf of Pickmere, I first want to extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family. We hope that their wealth of shared memories will be of some consolation to them all at this sad time.

Secondly, I wish to record the community’s thanks for the unrivalled dedication and service of Her Majesty to the United Kingdom and its inhabitants, and to the Commonwealth.

We are all united in grief, as a Commonwealth, a United Kingdom, a country, a county and a village.

God Save The King.
