AGENDA ITEM 9.6 VILLAGE HALL AND SITE
1 REPORT OF CHAIR
1.1 The Village Hall is currently sitting on a small plot with limited parking which restricts the useability of the Village Hall
1.2 The land around the Village Hall is currently surrounded by land owned by Crown estates. If a small section of this land could be purchased then the Village Hall would be of lasting and wide benefit to all of the community.
1.3 The Village Hall is currently in need of some urgent maintenance to ensure it is fit for purpose and optimum to maximize revenue generation.
2 RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That Council should make enquires with Crown estate in relation to the purchase of the land around the village hall.
2.2 That Council prepare a list of repairs that are required to the Village hall and other assets like the Pavilion and obtain quotes for the works that are required. This list of required works can then be brought to council for prioritisation and approval.
