AGENDA ITEM 9.1 ASSET MAINTENANCE/POTENTIAL PROJECTS FOR VILLAGE HALL AND/OR PAVILION

1. REPORT

1.1 Since your March meeting, a company has been commissioned to remove the moss from the Pavilion roof; the work is to be carried out shortly.

1.2 Following discussion at Council’s February meeting, a meeting of the working group to discuss this topic has been held. The appended list of projects is therefore proposed for consideration, obviously in the context of the financial allocations previously agreed.

2. RECOMMENDATION

2.1 That members decide appropriately.

LIST OF PROJECTS PROPOSED FOR CONSIDERATION
VILLAGE HALL

FEATURE WORK TO BE DONE PRIORITY (H/M/L/NN)
Brick work Repair and repoint H Repair, repoint and inject
Access ramp rails Repaint H To be done with the rest of the brick work
Wall behind toilet Dig down, repair, seal H 1. Dig down to reveal the walls and check for work needed.
2. Complete any repairs or sealing needed
Drains behind toilets Checked and repaired (if needed) H 1. Dig down to reveal the walls and check for work needed.

Toilets Refloored after wall and drains checked repaired H The toilets are high priority but work to be done can only be decided upon once the walls have been checked.
Windows New windows in main hall (opening needed) M Taking into account security, look at the front two windows to be opened, preferably as top openers but must provide air flow.
Access ramp Repainting L Either get a quote or volunteers
Stage removal Remove and refloor M We need to get proper quotes to proceed.
Extra storage Added to building L This needs to be a consideration after the stage work has been completed and we see what is needed.
Lighting – hall Replace with better and more Eco-friendly L A future project. The lights are effective at the moment and should be a future consideration.
Security light Two on hall one on gate H The hall security lights need fixing and one for the gate needs adding as it is a dark entrance and needs illuminating
Kitchen New kitchen L Get quotes and make a decision

PAVILION
FEATURE WORK TO BE DONE PRIORITY (H/M/L/NN)
Internal walls Repaint L A fresh coat of paint, once deep clean has been completed. (NB to be assessed after the deep clean).
Cleanliness Deep clean M Part of maintenance schedule. Needs doing fairly soon.
Lighting New Eco-friendly lighting M Brighter lighting needed – new bulbs or do we need new lighting (to be checked).
Facias Check and repair/replace with more durable facias H Get quotes for replacements/plastic covers
Interior Redesign L
Roof Moss removal. H Has it been done? If not needs to be.
