AGENDA ITEM 9.7 ASSET MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME
1. REPORT
1.1 Appended to this report is a schedule of maintenance priorities agreed by Council on 5th October 2021. The situation in respect of this schedule, together with other updates, is as follows:
Pavilion
• Replacement of fascias and guttering – completed (no need to repoint eaves nor repaint fascia boards)
• Moss cleaned from roof
• Outstanding –
o Remove unserviceable security light
o Remove hanging basket brackets
o Paint and clean interior
o Paint IROS metal benches
Village Hall
• Replacement of windows – project approved – awaiting contractor’s commencement date
• Installation of car park lighting – project approved – further information from contractor just received
• Investigation of repair/enhancement works (concern re damp; cleaning/pointing slabs on path; kitchen; stage) – under consideration by Working Group (SR, PD, SC, AS)
• Car park surfacing completed
• Gutters etc cleaned, repaired and gutter mesh installed
• Humidistat fan installed
• Outstanding –
o Replace stage edging
o Repaint external handrails
o Fit blanking plates to unused wall sockets
o Remove unused cupboard
Play Area
• Short term repainting of equipment – largely complete
• Pursue comprehensive refurbishment of area – awaiting progress (working group)
2. RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That members note the report and decide accordingly.
