AGENDA ITEM 9.12 PROPOSED KNUTSFORD AREA PARISHES FORUM
1 REPORT
1.1 A communication has been received from the Town Clerk of Knutsford Town Council as follows:
Knutsford Town Council would like to work more closely with our surrounding parishes, creating a forum for us to discuss issues and work together where appropriate. This could include, for example, lobbying CEC on matters affecting our communities or working together to deliver services. The idea is that working together, we can have a stronger voice.
To this end we’d like to host a first meeting here in Knutsford on either:
• Tuesday 8th August at 1pm
• Thursday 17th August at 7pm
This would be for the chair/a councillor from each council and yourself as Clerk.
Could you please let me know:
• Whether your council would like to attend such meetings
• Which of the above dates work for you
• If there are any issues your council would like to discuss
1.2 Cllr Campbell is unable to attend such a meeting but Cllr Hart is available to attend.
2. RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That this Council wishes to be a participant in the proposed Area Parishes Forum, and that a representative councillor be asked to attend relevant meetings.
