AGENDA ITEM 9.10 PURCHASE OF DEFIBRILLATOR FOR THE VILLAGE HALL & DONATION OF EQUIPMENT
1 REPORT OF CHAIR
1.1 The village hall is beginning to be used for more events which is positive. Some of these events involve exercise. Currently there is no Defibrillator at the Village Hall.
1.2 Veristat, company currently located at Mereview Barn, are closing their office in the village and have some equipment they are kindly offering to sell and donate to the village.
1.3 They have a Defibtech Lifeline AED Fully Automatic Defibrillator (7 Year Battery) – Exclusive Starter Kit which normally retails at £1500 + VAT which they would sell to the Parish Council for £595 + VAT. The equipment has new pads and battery.
1.4 In addition the company would like to donate a portable projector which is used to attach to computers, as well as 2 x 8 seater wooden benches that they also propose to donate to the Parish Council.
2 RECOMMENDATIONS
2.1 That council agrees to purchase the defibrillator and install it at the Village Hall.
2.2 That council accepts the donation of the projector which would be useful for events such as the proposed Wildflowers and Wine event.
2.3 That council accepts the donation of the 2 wooden benches and decides where they should be located, for example IROS, Clover Drive Play area or at the top of Clover Drive.
