AGENDA ITEM 7.3 TO REVIEW ARRANGEMENTS IN RESPECT OF GENERAL DATA PROTECTION

1 Report
1.1 On 1st May 2018 your Council approved a set of documents setting out the Council’s policies
and procedures in respect of the then newly introduced GDPR. Such policies and documents
were reviewed in June 2020, without change. Nothing substantial has changed in respect of
GDPR requirements since that time, except the incorporation of riders relating to ongoing
work on the play area refurbishment and the Neighbourhood Plan. In this context, members
may wish to continue to adopt the policies and documents previously approved until
circumstances change. Should members wish to review the policies and documents in detail
a report can be brought back to council in the future.
2 Recommendation
2.1 That Council continues to adopt the policies and other documents last reviewed in June
2020, together with amendments made in July 2021 until changed circumstances suggest or
require their review.
2.2 That the Clerk continues to act as the Council’s Data Protection Compliance Officer.
