AGENDA ITEM 9.5 PROPOSED SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
1 REPORT OF CHAIR
1.1 The use of digital and electronic communications enables Pickmere Parish Council (PPC) to interact in a way that improves the communications both within the Council and the people, businesses and agencies it works with and serves.
1.2 A draft document (SEE APPENDIX) has been drafted for discussion is to provide councillors, staff and volunteers an overview of Social Media and outline the Councils position on various aspects of their use.
1.3 In addition, it describes Officer and Councillor responsibilities when using such channels of communication.
2 RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That Council agrees that the DRAFT Media, Social Media and Electronic Communication Policy is approval and published on the PPC website.
