REPORT TO PICKMERE PARISH COUNCIL

AGENDA ITEM 9.1 RESIGNATION OF COUNCILLOR BOLD.
1. REPORT
1.1 Councillor Bold resigned from the Council on 14th February 2023, leaving a second vacancy on the Council.
1.2 There is no provision for the possibility of a demand for a by-election since the resignation has occurred within the 6 month period before the councillor would ordinarily have retired.
1.3 The Council may seek to co-opt a replacement, but again since the resignation is within the 6-month period mentioned, is not bound to do so.
2. RECOMMENDATION
2.1 That the report be noted and members consider appropriate action.
2.2 That former Councillor Bold be thanked for her many years of conscientious and community -focussed work for the Parish Council and the Pickmere community.
2.3 That Cheshire East Council be informed of the resignation.
